I got a response from Tier2 officer that there are no Visa numbers available. She was pretty pissed that there hell a lot of indians calling and was close to making it racial. She read from a report that DOS sent to USCIS (page 31 is what she quoted) where she said there are no Visa numbers available. I am assuming its for this month.

Are we sure that there are around 5-6k EB3 pending in the years 2002 and 2003. If thats true then it will take atleast 6 more years to process all the EB3's for 2002 and 2003 :(

My status on CRIS has changed. No emails. Its says my approval has been sent. But nothing about the card. I spoke to the CS and they said my biometrics have to be uploaded. In the mean time can I get my passport stamped?.

if you see life as a series of choices and actions, then the lack of GC inhibits a lot of choices and actions.
Absolutely agree :) However, keep in mind that if one door is closed because of not getting/delay in getting GC, there are other options too.
A good example is EAD & AC21 for people who do not want to stagnate in their careers. Now you might say that using AC21/EAD has risks, but then remember the old adage "no risk, no gain".
If we expect life to hand us everything on a silver platter, and get depressed if that does not happen we just ruin our happiness & peace of mind.

The only one thing the nonimmigrants should aware of Mortgage is they can't expect 100% finance, as per my lender we need to make at a minimum 10% down.

I think some result will come in the bill sooner or later. if not this year may be next year bill will be passed. Probably most of the immigration provisions will be Amended to get a some releif for everyone. H1 cap may be increased to 115k. No of greencards will not be 650k. may be Double the current number than 650k. There will be strong opposition for big increase of immigration. The reason is lot of americans lost job in IT because of outsourcing and h1s. The impact might be mild as most of them landed in another job as ecomomy slowly improved. If no possiblity of passing the bill it will be killed in 2 or 3 months. On the other hand If delayed for next year the bill will be passed in some form. Bush will try to give relief to illegals before he leaves office.

I am happy to see some beginings here.. although we have had many many threads before for this kind of initiative but I see some difference here... Like some others said we need to draft an action plan from A to Z here (understood that it may not be exactly what we would be following over time but), we need some roadmap to follow to reach our target.
I like the idea of collecting info about who is willing to contribute and I am all for it.
btw, option 1 is not an option for me.
