Its better to use rental car, as i did landing on june30, 2008 and the canadian customs asked me to either transfer the car or take it back to USA.

Good luck..I filed everything on the 14th of Aug; for 485 I think the fees was 395; for EAD 180 and AP 170. all together 1490 for 2...1165 seems a little weird because first of all 1165 is not divisible by 2 :)); I guess based on old fee structure, 485 is 325 plus 70 biometric fee

I'd suggest u guys take ur card magnetization talk onto another thread instead of making other current and still waiting ppl feel bad about the fact that they still dont have cards but here we have others talking about their plastic cards.
it is not to prevent 'de-magnetization' but to prevent rfid communication. All new passport and other govt id 'cards' ship with rfid chip in them which contains encrypted biometrics info. Since rfid info can be read even 10 meters away with right equipment, it is better to put it in a metallic sleeve (creating a Faraday cage) to prevent anyone from sniffing then biometrics info.

I will have to check with my attorney. But, my I-140 approval came from TSC but my I-485 application was sent to NSC.
If anyone else has had a similar experience, please post your update here.

My friend got his receipt numbers from TSC yesterday. We filed on the same day, same attorney, Attorney said his will go to TSC and mine will go to NSC. His receipt numbers start with SRC... if it is NSC it will be LIN.

All checks cashed including PP for I-140 ON 2nd June 2007.
I have a couple of questions:-
How long before i get a answer on Premium Processing on I-140.
How long for Finger Printing notice.
How long before i get EAD.
Can i renew my CA drivers license with I-1485 filing receipt or do i have to wait for EAD.
Thanks folks and hang in there.( It took 6 years for LC approval).
Usually it is a maximum of 2 weeks. NSC approved some in 2 days.
FP notice in a month or so..
EAD 90 days minimum I guess. I don't know about the other one as I live in MI. we do not need anything like that here.

Supportive therapy, on the other hand, may be useful -- and may keep someone who has been through a divorce or has lost a job from going on to develop full-blown depression.
The cost of not looking at context is you think anyone who comes under this diagnosis has a biological disorder, so should more or less automatically get antidepressant medication, and everything else is superfluous," said lead author Jerome Wakefield, a New York University researcher who studies the conceptual foundations of psychiatry. "There is a trend to treat people in this somewhat mechanized way."

I had info pass appointment today in Newark they asked my

I told them it�s almost one a month, I didn�t get my card yet. Then they gave me a token number and when my turn came. I met the USCIS officer he wasn�t much help at all. he just gave me 551 stamp for 1yr and when I asked him about biometric he said last year I took in Oct-07 its good till next month and I don�t need it.
I was expecting 551 stamp look like h1 visa stamp, but it�s just an ordinary stamp.
After coming home I called USCIS asked them about the card. She told me that card was sent out for production today and I should get it within 1 week to 30 days. Because it was sent out today that�s the reason I didn�t get the email update
