I just called national customer service center for my 485 receipts and the lady told that nebraska filers should still wait for 30 more days before they call for receipt updates...she said she was answering the same question since this morning and mentioned that it could still take atleast 30 days for nebraska center to register the applications...
when I asked her if she knew whether my case has been transferred to TSC already (since my 140 got approved from TSC), she said she wouldn't know that answer...her bottom line was to wait...
what a mess!!!!!

Congrats to all you guys who got their Cards, I am happy for you lot! I am EB-3 ROW, with Dec 06 so it will still be a long long time for me. Wish you guys all the best and keep posting here please!

It is easier said than done. When you are entering you are at the discretion of IO and you do not know all the laws. In this particular case, the people tried to convince IO that they were planning to let canada PR go once they receive US GC but the IO was determined to revoke their AOS. So there is nothing really you can do at that point in time.
I agree, I can't put everything on stake to get canadian PR which I am not sure if I will use later or not.

How do you know that people with more recent priority dates are getting approved and you have been left out? You know this because these members of IV share this info with you and you are talking about using this info against them.
I won't be surprised if this will discourage people to just silently leave the forum after getting approvals.

Now that we have generated interest and made more people aware of IV. The next thing is to do is to gather support for rallies.

Talk to your reps' office staff. Share your stories/struggles with them. Then sometimes you get to meet your congress rep. Go to nearest universities. Check out departments that are doing immigration research. Volunteer to share your story with them.
This way, you work for a cause as well as build your social network. Once you get your GC, you will see that you have all these new people you never knew them before.
A decision that I took few months back was to force IV core to agree to opening a state chapter in IL. Now I feel that initiative has reaped benefits as I am gaining contacts in local, state governments, immigration activists and also like minded people from neighboring states. This would not have happened if I had got a GC on a platter and did not have to struggle.
Now stop whining and do some action. ;)

I can very well relate to your desperation and anger, but please don't react emotionally. The legal or technical fact remains that no-one guranteed us GC and truth of the matter is most of us said "No" when immigration officer asked " do you have plans to settle in State?" So their is no question of equitable treatment.
. No Sir, I can't say thier is conspiracy as I know of none. As of us doing favor? ... is completly wrong, we all knew what and why we are coming here for. Had we had better choice we would have opted for that. Let's be honest to ourselves.

And even if many people did, do you think those who come from Europe or visa free countries mark "yes" when they apply first time? So your point is moot there. Most people from visa free countries come here work here visa free and go back. They never even get asked a question. How come we get fingerprinted, photographed twice, interrogated twice and yet targeted when it comes to GC?
I am not against capitalism but I am against fighting injustice such as you dont get GC because you were born in India. And yes change will come but if we dont do anything we get nothing.

They have Milked me for 2.5 yrs and still they Milk me for another 9-10 months because my 140 was sent recently and you can't use any AC21 unless 140 is approved.
3.5 Years of Milking is not sufficient for them - they want more , YOU KNOW.

its not just this employer, many f____ employers have same issue they dont want to file 485 and atleast they are trying to delay the process as much as possible. They are fearing that the employees on L visas will have an oppurtunity to switch company if they get their GCs sooner.
