Hi Michael, nice shots. It's easy to see that you brought the discipline and hard work of your nature work to the studio. What was your lighting setup? Flash? strobes? How many and what positions? and how did you go about metering? They're very beautiful but just a little flat. Shadows add depth and will make the flowers pop out more. How's that for a vague concept? :) But if you have the ability to reposition the light(s) you should get some very different and interesting results. adjust to taste. shadows are good in many situations. Well things are really tough out here (US), even volunteering is not allowed ...... :confused:
Again thanks to all the guys who posted , 50% say its ok to volunteer, 50% say it is not ok as we are displacing an american worker's job.
It makes it more confusing.
Let me ask one more question here, is it ok to volunteer on h4 visa for a non-profit organization like hospital.......
But man, this is really so bad for folks on H4 visa, what fault is theirs that they cannot even try to bring out their skills and work in this land of opportunity (for no salary).

The first one isn't doing anything for me. I like the second one better but agree with the others that it needs a bit more DOF...and I'd go so far as to see if you could make the image (flower) as large as the lighter version.

The answer to your question: It depends on your situation.
If you like your job, and willing to wait another 1-2 years (I gather you are from rest of the world), just stick it out, get your GC and leave. It is not always easy to get EB2 140 approval, especially now.
If it was a difference of 3-4 years, it is worth taking the risk, but for a difference of a year, do you want to go through the trouble?

My PD is June 04 and the online status for my LC shows CERTIFIED since last week. Attorneys say they need DOL to send them the approved LC ... some document, which would be needed to file I-140 and I-485. Any idea how much time it takes for DOL to send the above said document back to the applicant or representative?

The first time, my husband and I were asked all kinds of questions by the secondary CIS officer at LAX, and was asked NOT to do our own copies of the original AP, that we are not supposed to do copies of official documents. He kept and use our copies anyway. The stamp in the AP extended it for a year after this entry.
Two weeks later, upon arriving again at LAX, the secondary CIS officer did not ask any questions and did not make copies of the AP. We just got another stamp on the original one extending its validity again for one year from date of entry. It went pretty fast.

Iam starting this new thread so that people will know what are the pros and cons leaving a company once GC is approved.
1.What are all the things to be noted while leaving the company after getting GC.
2.To be specific how long a consultant should be with company after GC is approved.
3.Also once GC is approved and if the consultant is off the payroll for say 2 to 3 months will there be any problem while filing for citizen ship.
There is alreayd a thread in IV forums explaining in detail and discussing the pros and cons of this, please refer that......
