There's no need for you to be negative.
Obviously you have benefitted already from what's happened. Think about people who are stuck (just as you were up until recently) and want to 'try' to make things work for them too....
wish people were more understanding of others also. Why is it people forget what it was like for them when they were in same boat?
That's exactly what I'm saying. Flowers campaign has run its course and it's not going to benefit anymore. We need to come up with fresh ideas.

What was your experience when you invoked AC21 both the times? Did you or your employer notified USCIS? was there any difference in title and or responsibilities? Did you try make sure the job title match with teh SOC codes that is on your labor?
hey man, if i were you, i wouldn't do this..i personally changed jobs twice in ac21 and would not do this change..

Think twice before you jump into mistakes. How can you survive in USA if you dont have a job.
I agree with the other post, you probably might be better in India in this economy.
Also US is becoming something else, due to the pressure from "protectionalists" and you need to wait and see what happens in an year or so. This is not 1998, it is 2009.
To answer your question, you chances for 2010 H1B is extremely low.
Though your intention is to help OP, there are certain things that need to be observed especially in this climate where there is lot of backlash against legal immigrants. We have to ensure that we do not provide any ammu to anti's with our comments.
For an employer to sponsor a foreign worker on H1B,
First of all, there needs to be a skilled worker position open and available in US and
2nd that there are no "qualified" US citizens are available to fill that position.
OP's post goes against both these conditions, Forget about the rest such as bad economy, survival etc.. as per law, Employer has to pack the H1B home if the position is knocked off with a flight ticket and a reasonable relocation.
No offense to any one but just calling for more caution as we have seen increased number of posts like these.

Hardly an hour passed by when I got email from CRIS saying " welcome ..." reminding me of Eagles song "welcome to hotel california ...", this was the very song, I heard for first time while waiting for TOFEL exam in summer of 1999 in Delhi. Oh... such a wonderful place.

She applied for second AP before travelling. My question is does she have to return before first AP expires OR can I mail her the second AP when it gets approved?

Don't ignore Dubai. It is a boom town and will give red carpet welcome to your wife because she is a US trained doc. I know of a few Indian docs who were on J1 visa and never got waiver jobs went to work in Dubai instead because with US degree they can practise there without any major issues. Dubai is good for IT folks too with the internet city. You may want to google and find more about Dubai's requirements.

This is totally ludacris to me. Even though the bulletin expects movement going forward, there is no assurance that the dates will not go back. On the flip side, I am wondering if USCIS/DOS wanted to fully utilize the 140K visas this year and just moved the dates too much ahead. If thats the case, the dates might not move again or retrogress back further. DOS official Oppenheimer mentioned that atleast 10-11k were wasted last year. I still feel that the dates are going to go back some time sooner or later without congressional law changes.
This means that we have to stay put and work towards our common goal of getting the system fixed.

It seems you want others to spoon feed you everything. Stop this bickering and stop complaining. Stop taking offense from nonsensical things, grow-up and look at the bigger picture.
Over reaction by "reno" without checking the thread shifting was not good. But under any circumstances we should avoid using wrong words. This creates a wrong impression and indirectly hurts the organization. We have some examples in past.

My PD is Nov 2004, I got 140 approved. Im not filing 485 now as im unmarried.
Any ideas when can be the date current again(for my PD atleast)?
If you plan to get married in the next few months, you can still go ahead and apply your I-485.
the dates are goign to retrogress again in October. so if you get married before your date becomes current again, you can file the I-485 for your spouse on the very first day it becomes current and before your I-485 approval
